Teaching
The MPhil ISO is an interdisciplinary degree exploring innovation and change through three interconnecting themes: innovation and work practices, innovation and strategic change, and organisational theory.
The programme seeks to provide the methodological and theoretical foundation for further research and is specifically aimed at students intending to continue to a PhD degree, whether in °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï or elsewhere.
The MPhil ISO programme consists of:
three core courses, one for each of the three areas of innovation, strategy and organisation;
two research methodology core courses;
a specialist elective; and
a 12,000-word dissertation.
Students may request to take an additional three modules in place of the dissertation.
| One to one supervision | For their dissertation students will be allocated a supervisor towards the end of the Michaelmas Term. Students will engage with dissertation supervisors over the Lent and Easter Terms. The °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï publishes an annual Code of Practice which sets out the University’s expectations regarding supervision. |

| Seminars & classes | Students will attend weekly classes and seminars. Students are normally expected to do pre-reading in order to participate in classes and seminars, contribute to group work, and deliver individual or group presentations where required. |

Feedback
Every effort is made to provide students with provisional marks and feedback on their coursework performance. Marks will be given as a percentage.
The nature and extent of the feedback given will vary from lecturer to lecturer, but students may reasonably expect to receive some indication of the strengths and weaknesses of any work submitted. All marks and feedback provided during the year are informal and provisional. Final marks are only determined at the end of the degree by the Board of Examiners.
Assessment
Thesis / Dissertation
A dissertation of not more than 12,000 words.
Essays
Assessment across the modules will be by written examination, project, or coursework, depending upon the nature of the particular module.
Practical assessment
Presentation features as an assessment component in a number of °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Judge Business School modules that are offered on the MPhil ISO.
