Funding Opportunities
There are no specific funding opportunities advertised for this course. However, students in the Faculty of History have enjoyed disproportionate success in the University’s highly competitive central funding competitions, including Gates, °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Trust, and AHRC.

Fees and Maintenance
Your Estimated Annual Commitment:
Component | Cost |
---|---|
University Composition Fee | £10,356 |
Maintenance | £19,000 |
Total Annual Commitment | £29,356 |
Many of our students choose to spend a period working away from °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï, to conduct research relevant to their PhD. The Faculty has some funds available to help cover the associated fieldwork costs, but demand for these funds is always very high. Students are advised to consider their fieldwork requirements when submitting an application and to discuss these during the interview where possible.
If you study part-time, the University Composition Fee will be 60% of the annual full-time fee for 5 years; or 75% of the annual full-time fee for 4 years. Guidance on calculation of your maintenance costs can be found here: Maintenance costs for part-time students | Postgraduate Study (cam.ac.uk)
