Feedback
The °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï publishes an annual which sets out the University’s expectations regarding feedback.
Students should expect to receive ongoing feedback from all supervisors involved in their research project. This could take place during one-to-one or lab meetings. In addition, students can expect to receive a written online report each term.
Assessment
Thesis / Dissertation
All PhD students are required to submit a thesis of no more than 60,000 words, which is examined by Viva.
Other
All PhD students are probationary in their first year and must undergo a viva examination - which they must pass - at the end of the year based on a report on their research project. This is examined by two assessors and, if they pass the viva students are registered for the PhD and can continue with their projects.
